Barcode Verifiers

Where the accuracy of the line bar to space ratio and other printing characteristics of a printed barcode needs official checking - perhaps to conform to a customer specification - Barcode Verifiers are used.

Tests conform to a set of ANSI and specific industry standards that define the quality of barcode reproduction. The most popular type of verifiers are produced by the American company Hand Held Products, (HHP), and the simplest model resembles a large barcode wand with a LCD display of reading results on the side. More sophisticated verifiers can be supplied that incorporate laser scanners, results printers and even models by printer manufacturers that fit to thermal transfer printers to automatically monitor the barcodes as they are printed.
